When Heaven Is Calling

“For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. [16] So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy” Romans 9:15-16 KJV.

God’s selection is just something else, why He chose one over the other, why He chose Jacob over Esau. Why He chose to harden the heart of Pharoah at the same time make Rahab a prostitute be spoken of in the most Holy Book way way after her time right alongside Jesus genealogy.

Its just wild how and why God chooses people, one was a murder and one had a stutter but still chose him, one had women issues with massive strength but still God made him a judge over Israel. One was a coward hiding in a wine press yet God saw a mighty man.

One He called a man after his heart yet he killed and had an adulterous relationship, another a murderer and persecutor of the church but became an apostle to many people and churches.

Our biggest challenge is that we always feel inadequate of the roles that we have been selected or positioned. Why me God, don’t you know I stutter, dont you see my sin which is my hands are dirty of? Dont you see the trail of murders that I have committed. Dont you see i’m the least of the family I come from. We have all the excuses we can think of, and maybe like Isaiah we see our uncleanness before God and we just dont know how to deal with that.

Truth is it has nothing to do with you, it has everything to do with God, His Sovereignty. 1 Corinthians 1:27 “But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty” We get so caught up as to why me, why now, how did I qualify wait do I even qualify, If it’s not you then who?.

So whether you see yourself as weak, full of sin, the stutter, foolish, murderer, the bad history, you speak before its your time or whatever the reason. He chooses whoever He wants and for whatever reason. We will waste time asking God to prove himself because he can and He will.

“Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?” Romans 9:21 KJV

Once He has chosen you He has chosen you and just as always, He knows best and he had the plans together from the very first day. We should be glad to get that phone call from God in the first place because you have been chosen to a vessel of honour. Isaiah responded who shall I send and he said send me, regardless of our places, reasons and current status may we be found saying ,”Here I’m send” me just as you have chosen me.
