“For I delight in the law of God after the inward man”, Romans 7:22 KJV it’s amazing how we were created or engineered by God to become what we are today. The word of God is the food for the spirit man and it’s crazy how it is the staple food for the spirit man. Who can strengthen with power by his Spirit in the inner man?
If and when, the outward man (body) is consumed we know that he will be strengthen from the inner man because of the word of God that resides and dwells in the inside man. I once heard someone say that the spirit of a man does not need the word but that we read the word of God to teach our soul and remind our spirit what God has already decoded in our spirit. The inward man is renewed day by day as we partake the word of God and truth.
Every believer is a worshipper and by exercising their spirit to know God’s word (Rhema) they automatically gain an ability to discern atmosphere, presence of God and also to function in the spirit. This we know because the word of God says “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple”, Psalm 119:130 KJV. As we read word of God and consumes it, His light floods our lives and as this happens we start to learn discernment because of the light of God that has flooded our lives.
So as a worshipper allowing your spirit man to be marinated by the word of God is an important thing because it brings a lot of benefits that you are not privy to us without his word. The word brings light, his light bring clarity and vision to what we are doing and where we are going hence allowing us to make the good and sound decisions. To some it’s hard to understand but remember this simple of act of reading the word of God also opens the worshipper spirit to have access and easy connection to the Holy Spirit.
Every worship leader is looking to be led and guided by the Holy Spirit, every worship leader is looking to have deep worship session, we are looking for our worship times to be a platform for heaven to touch earth and bring blessing to man. It all starts with the inner man being strengthened by the word of God, making it a practice and a habit to study and read the word of God and allowing it to marinate our lives. The fringe benefits are plenty but you start to see them in your life as you exercise your spirit man in the word.
“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ”, 2 Corinthians 4:6 KJV. As Worshippers let us allow God to strengthen us and let his word to become alive in our lives so that we end up walking in the light, shining his truth everywhere we go.
